You probably know that I really enjoy living in Nampa, Idaho for so many great reasons. A couple of those reasons; the great community we have here… and I don’t mean “community” in the way they do in liberal places. Our Nampa community are good folks who enjoy sharing a good time with other good folks! The other reason I was getting to; our local city leaders really create an environment where these various events in Nampa can happen.
What is a Third Thursday Street Festival?
Third Thursday Street Festival happens every month throughout the summer. It’s another one of the successful events that the Downtown Nampa organization offers that enriches the fun and culture of our great town!
The August Third Thursday event was packed with fun; music, food trucks, local art and vendors… and my favorite… a great showing by the Vintage Volkswagen Club.
Third Thursday Things to Do and See
I checked out as many of these things that I could… and had a great time. The one thing I’m sorry I didn’t get to was the Guided Art Walking Tour… I’ll bet that was super fun!
There was still space up and down the street for some more vendors… so if you have something great to share with the community, I suggest you check in with the Downtown Nampa organization or maybe the City of Nampa for more details on doing that.
There’s one more Third Thursday event for the year… September 18th. There’s going to be free train rides for the kids, tractors, music and (of course) food trucks!

I had a great time! Spent some time talking with the owner of the orange VW bus… he put so much work and love into restoring that beauty and it shows! I enjoyed all the other cars and activities… just nice to get out and about in a safe, clean and friendly environment. There is one more Third Thursday this year, September 18th, so I hope to see you down there having a great time!
