Nampa’s Great Indian Cuisine

I’ve been eagerly waiting for Red Fort to open in Nampa! They have a Meridian store and I’ve been several times… but having this culinary treat right here in Nampa is so incredibly handy!

Sometimes you just get tired of burgers and tacos (okay, just kidding about tacos… those are ALWAYS good!) and you want something different. Well, you are in luck! Red Fort has a great variety of Indian cuisine to satisfy whatever you’re hankering for!

Welcome to Nampa's Red Fort...

Entering Red Fort and you’re welcomed by an enchanting aroma that will probably make you instantly hungry! The dining area is bright and welcoming with ample tables and booths. The murals hint at the experience you’re about to enjoy.

Nampa’s Red Fort is in the heart of old Downtown Nampa. Right across the street to the south is the library complex and, the other direction, the old train depot is a quick two blocks to the north. Red Fort is at 117 12th Ave S.

Parking on the street can be a challenge… it just depends. There are often a lot of activities going on in the old Downtown area. There is also a great multi-level parking garage not even a block away (on the other side of the library). The first hour is free to park and the rates after that are very minimal.

Important Red Fort Details...

Check out some important info about our Nampa Red Fort; here are their hours… every day except for Sunday.

Also, click the menu and check out all the great things you can get here! Don’t forget a nice order of Naan bread!

Couple of Fun Stories about Indian Cuisine...

Funny how things work out… recently I was to have lunch with a friend; “where do ya wanna eat?”  I suggested Indian and he said “yuck!”.  Why?  Because he’d never had Indian cuisine before. A couple weeks later I was to have lunch with another friend… and he had never had Indian before either! Both of my friends really, really enjoyed their meal at Red Fort and there is no doubt that we’ll be going back pretty soon!

Why do I like Indian? Well… I didn’t always. I’d never had it before we ended up in London about lunchtime. We had a very authentic Indian lunch there and we just didn’t like it at all! But about two weeks later, we had an insatiable appetite for MORE! And ever since our time living in the English countryside, we’ve been hooked on Indian cuisine!

Treasure Valley Dave's Thoughts

You know me… I’m not one for doing restaurant reviews; but I like what I like and I like to share with you when I find something really good. And I find that Red Fort has great food at a good price and they are right here, local.

If you’ve found some place I should check out, please let me know! Or better yet… let’s go out to lunch and check it out!

Maybe you’re not up here in the Treasure Valley area yet… but you’re going to check us out soon on your fact-finding trip!
