Living in Marsing, Idaho

Marsing, Idaho is a great little town right on the Snake River with all the views and activities that go along with that. No stoplights, no mega-stores… just small-town good people!

You can live in an older home here in a neighborhood with large trees or you can live in brand new homes with all the latest features… or something in between!

Enjoy this glimpse of living in Marsing and be sure to check out my video tour where I walk around downtown, drive through various neighborhoods and take a look at homes on the market. An extra bonus is a look at The Summer of Yumm!!

Where is Marsing, Idaho?

When the whole world seems crazy… and when the United States is feeling crazy too… coming to Idaho very much feels like coming back to the America we knew growing up; friendly neighbors, low crime, and a good quality of life.

Marsing is on the western end of the Treasure Valley right along the Snake River. It’s about a 10 minute drive into Nampa for shopping or work and maybe a half-hour to Boise. There is a good amount of road construction going on… will be great when it’s done!

If you’ve driven up to Idaho and came through Nevada, particularly Winnemucca, you most likely went right through Marsing… the first “civilization” that you’ve seen in many miles!

You can see that Marsing just isn’t all that big in size, but it’s huge in nature, peace & quiet, and great folks! See my video below as I walk along the main street starting right there at the arrow.

Photo Journey of Marsing, Idaho

Here’s a photo from the park in Marsing that is right along the Snake River looking to the northeast. I’ve got a couple different past clients who live right in this area and others a little further down the Snake River… and it is a beautiful place to live!

Until you get a chance to come out in person, check out my Photo Gallery of Marsing and really get a feel for all the cool things here. I think you’ll really get a kick out of my video tour below.

Great Video Look at Marsing, Idaho

I know; this video is a little long… but it’s really three videos in one. I first start off walking around the Marsing downtown area (really just along the main street), then I take a drive on around town and through various neighborhoods; some older and others newer. Finally I go through the current property listings to share a feel of what kind of properties you could buy in Marsing and their asking prices. You can really find a home for any budget here in Marsing… and the quality of life is included!!

A Giving and Neighborly Community

I recently met with Pastor Jody and Chef James and talked with them about this year’s Summer of Yumm… a fund-raising effort to support Marsing’s food bank. Last year was successful and they believe this year will be even more so because Marsing’s people care and give to help each other.

Treasure Valley Dave's Thoughts

Marsing, Idaho is a GREAT small town… quiet and peaceful, nature and beauty, and caring friends and neighbors.

My prediction is that Marsing could easily become an area like Napa, California used to be… particularly with the three-dozen or so wineries in the area, the awesome micro-climate here, and the Snake River and all the beauty and activity that offers. If you love living in gorgeous wine country but not the liberal craziness and societal decay, YOU might want to move to the Marsing area before the secret gets out!

Marsing, however, might not be for you if you thrive on the vibe of hustle and bustle or if you work in the Boise, Meridian areas or elsewhere in the Treasure Valley. It’s not that far to drive from Nampa or even Caldwell for shopping, work or school… it will just take an extra few minutes to get there. But you might want to live in Nampa or Boise and just come visit Marsing… and that’s great too!

As you are considering your options, you’re going to want all the best and current information so you can make the best decisions for you and your family.
