Living in Emmett, Idaho

You’ve probably heard of Emmett, Idaho if you already live in the Treasure Valley or if you’ve been researching on different places to relocate to in Idaho. It’s certainly a great town and is just right for so many people!

I’ve got several resources on my website about Emmett and, to make things easy, I’ve got links to them right here in this post.

Be sure to check out my video of Emmett; I walk around downtown, drive through various neighborhoods and I take a look at homes currently on the market. Some deep-dive info for sure!

Where is Emmett, Idaho?

When the whole world seems crazy… and when the United States is feeling crazy too… coming to Idaho very much feels like coming back to the America we knew growing up; friendly neighbors, low crime, and a good quality of life.

Emmett has that typical small-town American feel from back in the good old days! It’s a smaller community physically separated from the hustle and bustle of the Boise and Meridian area but still close enough for shopping or commuting for work; 14 miles from Emmett to Star.

Emmett has it all; space, views, mountains, river, and affordable places to live. You can live in older, comfortable homes or in a new home in a new subdivision or even outside of town with a big lot and maybe a shop!

Great Video Look at Emmett

I know; this video is a little long… but it’s really three videos in one. I first start off walking around the Emmett downtown area, past the depot and over to the park. Then I take a drive on some of the main streets of town and then through various neighborhood; some with older homes and others brand new. Finally I go through the current property listings to share a feel of what kind of properties you could buy in Emmett and their asking prices. You can really find a home for any budget here in Emmett… and the quality of life is included!!

Treasure Valley Dave's Thoughts

No doubt, Emmett Idaho is a great community! Small-town America feel, friendly folks, kind of out by itself yet close enough to all the big-city things you might ever need.

But Emmett might not be for you if you thrive on the vibe of hustle and bustle or if you work in the Boise, Meridian, Nampa areas or elsewhere in the Treasure Valley. It’s not that far to drive from Emmett to make a Costco run… but for everyday commuting to work or school, living in the Treasure Valley proper might be a better option.
