Treasure Valley Dave's Thoughts
Not that it’s really a hidden secret, but Nampa, Idaho is a really sweet place to live! It’s just big enough to have everything you need (shopping, education, jobs) but it’s also small enough that you don’t have those big-city problems (terrible traffic, crime, homeless). And Nampa is also very close to so many other things; fishing in great rivers or lakes, hiking, hunting, skiing… and on and on! As a bonus, homes in Nampa are many thousands of dollars cheaper than living in Boise or even Meridian. Pretty sweet deal!
When you’re planning your fact-finding trip to the Treasure Valley, be sure to check out Nampa for yourself. And if you’re thinkin’ that moving here might be the thing to do, just let Mareen and me know when you’re coming and we’ll spend some time together exploring the Treasure Valley! Just call, text, email or smash that Contact Us button and let’s get connected! Maybe we can do lunch too! 🙌

HI~ Where in Nampa can I park my tiny home for permanent residency?
Hi Lilly!
Good question! I know that the rules in Nampa (and other places in the area) now do allow for a tiny home to be parked on a regular lot in addition to a home. I was checking for RV parks and trailer home parks in the area and didn’t find anything specifically about tiny homes. AI suggested looking at Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace… which I did and still didn’t find anything specific.
We had clients who had the same issue when they bought their tiny home a couple years ago. They found a really nice RV park in Fruitland (because they wanted to live in Fruitland). I think if you call around to RV parks in the area and tell them what you want, they might be able to accomodate or point you in the right direction.
There is always the option of parking on a private piece of land… but I think you would have to have utility hookups to get the tiny home permitted for a permanent residence.
I wish I had a better answer for you. Check out our friends and how their tiny home situation worked out! https://youtu.be/2tY7E7Tg5Mw
