My friend invited me out to lunch and the best place to go in Marsing is The Spot Pizza! I’m always up for pizza and eagerly accepted. Amanda welcomed us as we came in and made us feel right at home. We talked for a while and she gave me this great piece of advice, “Attitude is gratitude!”. That personified is Amanda… such a treat to get to know her.
The pizza magic happens in the back… and I tried many times to get a picture of the crust spinning in the air! My fat fingers just weren’t fast enough. But to be sure, there’s some talent that goes into each and every pizza pie made here. In no time, Amanda brought out our yummy lunch.
I don’t know what happened, but within minutes almost the whole thing was GONE! Funny… we were all too polite to take the last piece… but I was certainly tempted! Aside from pizza, they have a full salad bar (for you health nuts!) and some cold beer selections to wash down that last slice of pizza. I noticed that Amanda’s philosophy was on their big sign by the street, “Gratitude is attitude!”
Marsing is a great place right in the heart of wine country. That’s the Snake River flowing right next to town… and next to The Spot Pizza! They have a great park right on the river that looks up to Lizard Butte. Also, when you’re driving up from California, you’ll likely come up Highway 95 from Nevada that takes you right to Marsing. I love me some GOOD pizza… and The Spot Pizza is great! I also enjoy coming to Marsing… it has so much going for it. My prediction is that it will be like the good aspects of Napa or Sonoma CA in another 10 or so years.
