First Timer Admires Idaho’s Beauty!

We had a couple of out-of-state visitors for Thanksgiving. Daniel shares some thoughts and pictures from his quick stop in Idaho!

First Time in Idaho... What Do You Think?

You may recall my daughter, Treasure Valley Kelly, if you’ve watched some of my older videos on YouTube (www.FollowDaveOnYouTube.com). She’s living in sunny (and windy?) Florida now and she came back to the Treasure Valley for Thanksgiving. Kelly also brought her boyfriend, Daniel, from Ohio, to enjoy the celebrations and check out Idaho!

Meet our visiting guest celebrity, Daniel… that’s what we did! He’s such a nice guy and we all had a great time around the Thanksgiving dinner table. Kelly invited Daniel to join us this year and took the opportunity to show off Idaho to her boyfriend. Daniel had been to Idaho once before… as a child. He doesn’t remember much from back then except experiencing our “Smurf Turf” (no, it’s not some psychedelic drug!).

Kelly took Daniel to several places around the Treasure Valley. He is a superb photographer and he eagerly shared his thoughts and observations about Idaho from the perspective of (essentially) a first-timer here. Some of the places they visited were downtown Boise, Bogus Basin and all the way out to Hell’s Canyon. Today we’re looking at some of the beauty of their Hell’s Canyon visit.

On their way there, Daniel and Kelly went through Ontario and Weiser. They took some time to explore and found that the people they met were so friendly. Then moving on, “We followed the river all the way,” reported Kelly. Daniel reflected that, “It’s pretty, it’s beautiful.” He noted too that, even as cold as it was, people were out there boating and fishing.

Treasure Valley Dave's Thoughts

We are so happy that Daniel and Kelly came to visit… and it was cool to get his first-timer impression of Idaho and the Treasure Valley. Would Daniel come back? “Definitely!” Kelly added, “There’s lots to explore… it’s a big place.” She added, “Wear layers… dress appropriately.” I’m guessing temps in Florida are a little warmer than late November in Idaho!

If YOU are going to be making your first-timer trip to the Treasure Valley, let me know… I’d love to hear what you think of the place! If your plans include researching your new community or your new home, Mareen and I would be thrilled to help you with that. And… let’s do lunch!!
