The end of September offered perfect weather for Treasure Valley Dave’s 5th Annual Appreciation Picnic. This is Dave’s special occasion to thank current clients, past clients and even future clients! Because Dave and Mareen only work with awesome people, this annual picnic turns out to be a great time for great people to get to know other great people. That is really the magic of Dave’s annual picnic!
Something Different This Year
One of our past clients (who happens to be an award-winning chili cook-off champion) suggested we have a chili cook-off at our picnic this year. Well… why not! Sounded like a great idea!
Because of Dave’s sweet tooth, we included a dessert contest as well!
As you can see, we had many entrants for chili and desserts and many satisfied judges!
Awards and Prizes
The competition was stiff for the best chili… we had to have a hand recount! There was a hanging chad or two… but we got through it. The winner, Derrick, won by one vote… should tell you just how tasty our selection of chili was!
The dessert contest was even closer! We had a tie for the top winning position… what a conundrum! After considering the various options for determining the winner, we opted for flipping a coin. Conni was the well-deserved winner… but it was close!
First place for the chili and the dessert received a fine custom made trophy and second and third places received an official TVD hand-signed certificate! Whoop whoop!!
And, as always, we had a fun selection of prizes for the lucky ticket holders. Some were practical; some came with a heartfelt story; some were just down-right fun!
