Buying A New Construction Home – Episode 2

This short series drills down into the details of buying a new construction home. We’ll answer your questions about every step of the process… whether you already live in the Treasure Valley part of Idaho OR if you’re thinking of relocating to the Boise area… we explore how the Treasure Valley Dave team works with you remotely and the builder here. So even if you can’t be here for some or all of the process, we help you and keep you informed throughout the process.

There’s a lot to go over so let’s get started on the highlights of this episode;  Where?

Pro Tip: Scroll down to the video below where Mareen and I explore what this episode is all about.

EPISODE 2 - WHERE?

  • When you stop to consider where would you like to live… what comes to mind? The vibe of city life with theatres and the excitement of things to do? Could be a peaceful neighborhood with walking paths and parks? Are you picturing a penthouse condo or a hundred year old Victorian? Maybe you’re thinking of a fixer-upper or possibly a nice and new freshly built home? Many things to consider… for sure.

Do you really have to move?

  • Why can’t you stay where you are?
  • Is Idaho right for you?
    • Less government encroachment, cheaper living, four distinct seasons and populated with folks who generally live conservative lives.
  • Is the Treasure Valley right for you?
    • Most of Idaho has a rural, traditional culture; Boise and Meridian (top two largest cities in the state) do have the hustle and bustle of more densely populated areas yet without the urban blight that is found in more liberal-controlled communities.
    • Living in other parts of the Treasure Valley offers the best of both worlds; an easy-going place to live and an easy drive to the excitement of a big city.

Talk with the Treasure Valley Dave team

Already in the Treasure Valley? Maybe you’re living here or just up for a fact-finding trip… let’s meet in person and talk about your goals. But if you’re out of the area, let’s jump on a fun Zoom call and get to know each other!

We can also set you up with a home search that comes directly to your email with updates. This is called the Collab Center and comes straight from our local MLS (multiple listing service) database… which is much more accurate than Zillow or others. Treasure Valley Kelly provides tips and tricks on using the Collab Center.

Your fact-finding trip

As you figure out “where”… it’s a great idea to come check out the Treasure Valley in person. Within a couple hours or a couple of days, you’ll check out some of the sights and talk with the locals… and get a good feel of what it might be like to live here.

Let us know when you’re coming and we’ll meet with you, arrange a couple properties to look at so you know what your money will buy here, and we’ll tour around the valley with you… and probably get some lunch at a local favorite eatery.

Where within the Treasure Valley?

Each community in the Treasure Valley has its own feel… Boise has the big-city vibe (without the blight), Meridian has shopping, Nampa is just big enough yet just small enough, Caldwell has a cowboy flair and Eagle is about the safest place on earth with so many retired law enforcement officers living there.

What’s your priority? The vibe of the community or close to school or work or maybe close to friends or family?
