I discovered this wonderful place a few years ago and I just have to share with you! First, I’m pleased to introduce you to Lidia and Benny… the owners and makers of the sausage. Yes, they make the sausage right there in the back! There is the deli with a huge selection of sausages and beef jerky and cheeses and cheesecake and so much more! They are at 1015 2nd Street S, Nampa; Tue-Sat, 10-6.
Also on hand are imported goods such as candies, chocolates, sauces, oils, condiments, cookies, and so much more. I tried the curry catsup for the first time and it was great! Like regular catsup but with a little zip! They have some of the same chocolates that I had when I lived in England. Took me right back!
Are you stopping in about lunch time? Get a wholesome meal; maybe a cold sandwich or a hot one. Get the special, get a side of German potato salad or yummy sauerkraut. How about washing it down with some coffee or espresso latte or maybe a cup of tea? Such a wide selection of drinks!
Do you know how much Lidia loves her customers? She gets up super early in the morning to make fresh breads of all kinds and also nice plump pretzels! The rye bread has to be my favorite. Used to be my favorite. You see, I’ve changed my diet and have cut out carbs!
If you are going Keto of some fashion, the Old Country Sausage is fan-freakin-tastic! I started my Keto journey with Lidia’s beef jerky. They make it right there in the back with local Idaho beef. Oh my goodness… it is soooo good!
