You know that Boise, Idaho is a hotbed of culture… and we had a hot time recently enjoying an evening of barbershop quartet performances. It was great to hear some of the old-timers and also some fairly new groups… and to hear some of our old-time favorite barbershop songs and some new and hip offerings.

Check out this great gathering of genuinely gifted singers! The way they harmonize just leaves ya with goosebumps! The best thing… their infectious joy of performance just electrified the audience! Just spectacular!
A big shoutout for this great venue goes to the Cloverdale Church of God in Boise.
Such a great and friendly community of barbershop singers and fans… meeting old friends; making new friends! Such a great time!
Who are the Boise Chordsmen?
(From their website) Founded in 1949, the Boise Chordsmen are Idaho’s premier all-male barbershop chorus and the state’s only ensemble of its kind. As an auditioned chorus, the Chordsmen are committed to vocal excellence, fraternity, and engaging performances. They proudly represent the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Evergreen District and were honored as District Chorus Champions in 2019. In recognition of their artistic and educational contributions, the Boise Chordsmen received the City of Boise’s prestigious Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Arts and History in 2023. With a legacy spanning over seven decades, the Chordsmen continue to inspire audiences through the unique art form of barbershop harmony.

Going out and enjoying an evening of barbershop quartet performances just adds to the list of great things that you can do in the Treasure Valley! Sometimes it’s a rodeo, Weird Al, or a corn maze… and soon it will be snow skiing, hunting and holiday events.
Bottom line; there’s always something fun going on in the Treasure Valley!
